Only10Left
During the search for a Moonjuice drummer, the creative minds of Only10Left met.
It didn't take long playing together in Moonjuice, a live band with strong electronic influences, before their shared taste for dance saw them composing together. Working together and playing with Moonjuice became part of Gav's transition from guitarist and pianist to synth composer. At the same time Coop's drum flair translated into a love for pounding dance composition.
The pair naturally fit into a working relationship, Coop churns out the ideas with a native energy, to be subjected to Gav's critical flair; editing and cutting. The two are unmistakably individuals. They produced independently for a while, and although all tunes are shared projects, each has the definite flavour of one or other artist. The boys are faithful Ableton Live users: Gav picked up most of his early inspiration by leaning over the DJ booth at Optimo, Glasgow, where Ableton Live was spearheaded. Any experimentation with the program was propelled by their shared pooling of ideas, pushing each other on to try new things. At only 21 and 22 they are already fluent in Live, charging ahead with instrument creation on Max MSP, regularly DJing, gigging with Moonjuice and producing as Only10Left at an incredible rate.
